Report card term 2, 2nd school year: bad results and acc. to report card she lacks motivation. I will talk to her when I - hopefully - meet her in the beginning of 2019

Gavelates father died in 2014 due to a disease in the intestines. She lives with her mother, who has not remarried. The family makes a living by piecework for instance working for fishermen by drying the small usipa fish from lake Malawi. Somethimes Gavelat eaths only 1 meal per day. There is no source of light in the house.
June 2017: she has not done very well this first school year... but it has occurred several times that students improve their school results substantially in second class.
